What Are Dreams?
Dreams are one of the most mysterious while simultaneously unifying experiences of all human/animalkind. Through dreams, we are able to live out our fantasies and manifest revolutionary ideas.
There are countless theories as to why we dream, a prevailing one being that it helps us encode and store memories, wisdom, and personal Ingenue-ity (tm).
Through our connection with one another, we become more aware of our own collective unconscious. This bridge to the collective unconscious becomes active in times of crisis in one’s life, or at times of radical social, political, religious, and cultural evolution.
Color Symbology In Dreams
Symbols in dreams stem from the subconscious. The creation of symbols could be said to be one of the most important functions of the subconscious itself. While these symbols can have different meaning from entity to entity, there are some aspects that remain the same throughout all dreams. Of these, of particular importance are the following.
Red in your dreams indicates a raw power or energy, a strong force that wants to be used. However, too much of one thing can be detrimental if not used in the correct way. Raw energy, force, vigor, aggression, power, courage, impulsiveness and intense passion.
Green in your dreams represents health, good times, as well as peace and serenity. Signifying positive change. Alternatively, it can be an indication of a new or challenging experience, and all the fears that might come along with something new. Positive change, good health, growth, fertility, healing, hope, vigor, vitality, peace, and serenity.
Blue in dreams are most strongly connected with the mind. It represents peace and clarity of one’s mind, and possibly a desire to go the off beaten path into something new. However, it can also represent sadness in your life. Perhaps not feeling like you fit in? Truth, wisdom, heaven, eternity, devotion, tranquility, loyalty and openness.
Yellow is one of the trickiest to interpret in dreams. Often it is hard to tell whether it is positive or negative in nature. Whatever the case, when yellow appears it makes itself known. When interpreted positively it is a symbol of intellect, integrity, and wisdom. If interpreted negatively, it is cowardly, sickly, and a sign of deceit. Take caution when interpreting, but never be afraid. Intellect, energy, agility, happiness, and harmony.
Purple in dreams represents a healing ability in whatever is colored such. It also represents royalty, justice, and compassion. It is ultimately protective, but if it is antagonistic towards you perhaps you have done something which you should not have done. Reflect and rectify. Devotion, healing abilities, loving, kindness, royalty, high rank, justice, wealth, dignity, and compassion.
If in your dreams you come across an animal that talks to you. Listen, and you may learn something
How to record dreams
Recollection of one's dreams can be difficult when first starting. Some have trouble dreaming at all (we recommend consuming sunflower seeds or pumpkin seeds to jump start the dreaming process). It may be some time before you are able to recall your dreams. There is no definitive method to recollection.
However, when it does happen you must be ready. Get into the habit of keeping a notebook close at hand. If not a notebook, perhaps a recording device to dictate to, a dream catcher, or your own C.I.B.T.
WARNING: Avoid coco-infused dairy products before sleep.
